The City of Bowling Green is looking to start a Volunteer Recreation & Events Committee, and we need YOUR input and ideas!
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about bringing more activities, events, and fun to our community. Whether you have ideas for sports leagues, holiday celebrations, festivals, or new recreational programs—this is your chance to make a difference!
📅 Date: September 23rd 🕔 Time: 5:00 PM 📍 Location: 104 East Main St, City Commission Chambers
We are looking for dedicated individuals to fill the following positions:
1. Chairperson – Leads the committee and facilitates meetings.
2. Vice-Chairperson – Assists the chairperson and steps in as needed.
3. Secretary – Manages meeting minutes and communication.
4. Treasurer – Oversees the budget for events and programs.
5. Event Coordinator(s) – Organizes community events and activities.
6. Volunteer Coordinator – Recruits and manages event volunteers.
7. Fundraising Coordinator – Plans fundraising efforts to support programs.
8. Marketing/Public Relations Officer – Promotes events and keeps the community informed.
9. Program Coordinator(s) – Develops and implements recreational programs.
10. Community Outreach Liaison – Builds partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
11. Special Projects Coordinator – Oversees large-scale projects and unique initiatives.
